Hi everyone,
I am incredibly grateful and overwhelmed to share that after years of experiencing homelessness, I have finally secured my very first apartment! Getting to this point has been a long, hard journey, and while I am so thankful to finally have a safe roof over my head, I am starting completely from scratch.
I am moving in with absolutely nothing and am in desperate need of help to turn this empty space into a functioning home. If anyone in the community has gently used items to spare, or is able to help with some basic necessities, I would be endlessly appreciative.
Here is a list of the things I am currently trying to find:
Furniture & Apartment Basics
Any basic furniture (bed, seating, small tables, etc.)
Kitchenware (pots, pans, utensils, plates)
Bedding, blankets, and pillows
Towels and washcloths
Groceries & Pet Supplies
Basic pantry staples and non-perishable groceries
Cat food and basic supplies for my kitty
Hygiene & Women’s Products
Showering supplies (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors)
Feminine hygiene products
Basic toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion)
Clothing & Shoes
Shirts: Size Small or Medium
Bottoms: Size Medium or Women's 5 - 6
Cozy Items: Plus-size/oversized hoodies and flannel/plaid shirts
Shoes: Women’s size 9.5 - 10
