For over 20 years, we’ve been selling, servicing, repairing, and installing power generation equipment for customers across Ontario in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Our customers count on us to make sure their equipment is working well, so that they’re never left in the dark.

As our new Field Service Technician, you will primarily work on-site with our Southwestern Ontario customers. Your main responsibilities will include:
Maintenance and servicing of residential, Commercial and life safety power generation units
Diagnosing engine and alternator issues, transfer and switch gear issues
Sourcing parts or solutions to diagnosed problems
Delivery and commissioning of new equipment (placement, set up, programming)
Working with electrical and fuel vendors on install and upgrade projects
On a regular day, you’ll focus on generator repair and maintenance. Occasionally (about 2-3 times/month), you’ll deal with emergency breakdown situations that will require you to work outside your normal hours.

We are seeking candidates with a strong electrical / Mechanical background. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
Experience working as a power generation technician or licensed industrial/commercial electrician OR experience working as a military EGS (emergency generator systems) technician; or electrical/mechanical background
Working knowledge and experience with troubleshooting commercial application generators, transfer switches, and AC and DC controls and monitoring systems
Field service experience working on generators, generator maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, etc.
Provincial license/certification as a Licensed Industrial Electrician or Instrumentation Technician / Licensed Electrician
Cummins, Generac, or other dealer training is a plus, but not required
Valid driver’s license
We’re also willing to consider those with:
Experience in engine repairs (repairing/troubleshooting diesel, propane/natural gas engines)
Experience as a truck or heavy equipment technician
Good working knowledge of Engine DC and controls
Alongside your technical skills, you’ll also bring with solid communication and people skills for working with customers and other team members
